NAWBA Membership

2012 Dues are $45 for individual membership and $65 for family membership.  NAWBA now offers a Jr. Membership.
Your membership entitles you to: The Journal, NAWBA's quarterly publication, (filled with articles, results, photos, and other working bouvier information), a membership card for the year applied for, notification of events hosted by NAWBA and access to Member only yahoo groups and facebook forums.

NAWBA is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to preserve, promote and exhibit the natural working character of the Bouvier des Flandres and to preserve and enhance correct structure and type in the Breed. NAWBA promotes and encourages training and use of the Bouvier for work consistent with the heritage and original function of the breed, including, but not limited to protection work, obedience, tracking, draft work and herding.

NAWBA (if possible) hosts at least one Annual Working Bouvier Trial, develops, as appropriate, additional tests of the working capacity of the Bouvier, and where necessary, sanctions trials of such capacity, offers, as practical, European style conformation specialties, using a diversity of judges, to promote similarity in Bouvier type world.

NAWBA hosts a Yahoogroups e-mail list that you may wish to participate in.  The list is a great place to ask for/share information, training tips, and meet other Bouvier owners. This list is public to those interested in joining.  While this is a public list it carries the official NAWBA club name and in such is moderated.  Negative/defamatory correspondence sent that is deemed inappropriate or in any way brings harm to NAWBA's integrity, it's name, any NAWBA member or other member of this list or against the Associations mission statement (found on this website) will be removed from and banned from this list and any others in Association with NAWBA. 

NAWBA also hosts a members only Yahoo list and Facebook page. An open invitation is extended to all NAWBA members who hold membership in good standing with NAWBA and may join in with fellow NAWBA members and Working Bouvier enthusiasts.  To join, just send a blank e-mail to:  NAWBA_Members-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.  Make sure there is an _ between NAWBA_Members when sending your e-mail to join.  To join the Facebook page and see details please visit the bottom of NAWBA's homepage.  Member only lists are updated in January as necessary.  Guidelines for posting on either of these or any other list/forum that has NAWBA's Association attached to in any way are the same are listed above.

Membership privileges are extended to ALL members in good standing.  Membership status is the responsibility of each individual.  Membership expires on the last day of each calendar year and considered lapsed as of January 15th of the proceeding year, per NAWBA by-laws. Membership renewals are the responsibility of each individual.

Past members who wish to reinstate their membership need only send the appropriate funds to the Treasurer and confirm their previous membership information with the club Secretary.  At that time the membership reinstatement process will begin.  Once the process is complete, lapsed memberships will be reinstated.  No Welcome letter will be sent to reinstated memberships unless specifically requested.  Memberships that have lapsed for more than 90 days will be considered "past members" and full application process required.  No past member may seek additional membership time/privileges.
